Steps to Sync Gmail Contacts with Outlook

Log in to your Gmail account first. Open your browser and use google chrome. Enter Gmail.com.

Log in to Gmail using your Gmail ID and password.

Click on the link at the top of your Gmail account and select 'Gmail'. Next, click on 'Contacts'. Your contacts will appear on the screen.

Click on the link to the left and click on the "More" option. Next, click on the "Export" option. Select "Go to old contacts".

You can then export the files to Outlook from this page. Click on "More" in the middle of the page, and choose 'Export".

You will be asked which contacts you wish to export.

It will ask you 'Which format do you want to export?'. Click on outlook CSV, then click on the blue 'Export' button. Contacts.csv will then be downloaded.

Select the option to 'Show it in a folder' from the downloaded file. For an easier approach, you can cut the file and copy it elsewhere.

Take a look at the future.

Click on the File tab and choose 'Open and Export'

There are four options available on the screen. Select the third option, which is 'Import from another program or file'. Click on "Next" to import from another file or program.

Select the file and click 'Next'. The program will ask for the file that you want to import.

You will now need to browse the file you have copied and pasted at a convenient location in step-8. Click on the file you want to open and then click on "OK".

Now it will say "Allow duplicates to exist, select what you want." Click on "Next"

Outlook will ask you to choose where you want to put your contacts if you have more than one Gmail ID. It will ask you to select your destination folder.

Scroll down and up to locate your location. Make a selection. Click on "Next".

Click on "Finish".

You are done. It wasn't easy, was it? It's easy to feel overwhelmed when you look at all the steps. These steps were easy and only took a few seconds. Take one step at a given time, and you'll have your Gmail contacts in Outlook. Problem solved.
